Bradman Lake® Innovative New Case Packer

Charlotte 6 May 2009. PACKEXPO was the perfect stage on which to debut the culmination of over 12 months design work! This is where Bradman Lake Inc., Charlotte, North Carolina chose to unveil in November 2008 the first model of its newly designed range of robotic case packing machines, the AX Case packer. Designed to automatically form, top load fill and close RSC and HSC style corrugated cases within one frame, it eliminates the need for multiple machines and therefore frees up floor space on your packing line. Not only time saving and space saving, the new AX Packer is flexible also - it can be varied to the customer specification by utilization of a modular infeed design. Orders for five machines have already been received from two large food manufacturing companies in the USA. With many more expected to follow as companies the world over see the difference one machine can make to their overall productivity.

As you’d expect from Bradman Lake, the world’s most innovative designers and manufacturers of packing machinery, the AX Case Packer incorporates advanced design electronic motion control technology using a combination of robotics and servo motor drives. This compact unitwill form the case, load the cartons/products into the case and bottom/top seal it at speeds up to 120 cartons per minute and up to 12 cases per minute, depending upon the shape and size of the products involved.Tape or glue, or a combination of both, can be provided for case sealing For the Bradman Lake Group, the introduction of the AX Case Packer represents the first tangible sign of the new product innovation following its acquisition by Langley Holdings plc in October, 2007.

Once again, the Bradman Lake Group proves that its strength lies within the diversity of the product range spanning fully automatic flow wrapping systems, carton forming and closing machines, robotic product top-loaders and robotic case packers. The considerable technical and sales knowledge residing in the Group means that it can design, produce and install completely integrated packaging systems that can meet the most exacting challenges of today’s manufacturing environments.
