The FCC Triliner marks the latest advance in flightless or lugless three flap carton closers since Bradman Lake introduced Flexible Carton Control (FCC) technology. It operates at speeds up to 250 cartons per minute.
Machine operation
Filled cartons pass, at random, from a packing conveyor into the closer at a rate determined by the speed of the infeed belts. Their covers are plowed down and then they are gently gripped between the twin overhead conveyors, consisting of a series of patented rubber fingers and table-top conveyors beneath. The front flap of each carton is sealed with hot melt adhesive and the carton is then turned through 90º. The cartons are conveyed through the second section of the machine and the end flaps are sealed.
Standard Machine Features
Speeds up to 250 cartons per minute, depending on carton size.
Full machine operation accessed from touchscreen.
Random infeed avoids troublesome mechanical timing devices.
Patented flexible carton control (FCC). Rubber fingers incorporated into overhead conveyors propel cartons through the closing operations and uniquely control carton flaps squareness plus minimise jams caused by oversize products.
Speeds of servo-driven, twin FCC overhead conveyors can be varied, further assisting carton squareness when required.
A servo driven correction system ensures every carton is turned consistently through 90º before entry into the second closing section, irrespective of water, grease, product contamination or shifting carton contents.
Long term reliability of high performance servo drives controlled through fiber optic cables eliminates many wearing parts.
Open, hygienic stainless steel construction
Hot-melt glue jetting.
Extremely wide range of carton sizes can be handled.
Quick size change over using digital readouts with on-screen display of settings required.
A wide range of optional features is available to enable the machine to be readily adapted to meet the customer's specific requirements.
