This fully automatic, continuous motion end load machine is designed for large scale, high speed cartoning operations. The SL906 is available with a heavy duty, smooth running, barrel cam loader, a four head feeder and servo driven size change.
Machine operation
The machine continuously feeds end load cartons from an inclined magazine. They are extracted from the carton stack by means of vacuum cups on the rotary feeder at a signal given by the product as it passes a sensor on the infeed conveyor. The cartons are then erected into the flight chains. The product, which has been automatically or manually placed into the pockets of the product infeed conveyor is then gently loaded into the open end of the carton either by pusher arm following an angled track or by a robotic inserter. After filling the carton is closed using hot melt adhesive and it exits the machine with the assistance of powered outfeed belts.
