The Compact 3 combines both, the Bradman Lake's Flexible Carton Control (FCC) flexible rubber fingers and a unique turn correction system. It is designed for those companies who want a space-saving machine for speed up to 120 cartons per minute, a large size range and simple but strong construction.
Machine operation
Filled cartons pass at random from a packing conveyor into the closer at a rate determined by the speed of the infeed belts. Their covers are plowed down and are then gently gripped between the twin overhead conveyors consisting of a series of patented rubber fingers and twin table top conveyors. The front flap of each carton is sealed, with hot melt adhesive and the cartons are turned through 90º. They are conveyed through the second section of the machine and the end flaps are sealed.
